Toltec Road, Eloy, Arizona at 1804 hours on Monday, May 9, 2022. A quorum was confirmed with four members present: Toni Lorona Carlson, Tom Cortez, Edward Sauceda, and Belinda Akes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pledge of allegiance.\u00a0<\/strong>Board Chair Belinda Akes led the pledge of allegiance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Call to the Public:\u00a0<\/strong>No members of the public addressed the board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Special Ceremony:<\/strong>\u00a0 Pinning Ceremony.\u00a0\u00a0Fire Chief Kelly Weddle explained the various requirements for personnel to complete probation or be promoted.\n<ul>\n<li>A. Firefighter Ethan Hunt.\u00a0 Will be presented at a later date.<\/li>\n<li>B.\u00a0Firefighter Reiss Rhodes.\u00a0 Reiss Rhodes received his Firefighter badge.<\/li>\n<li>C.\u00a0\u00a0Firefighter Kolby Cutrer.\u00a0 Kolby Cutrer received his Firefighter badge.<\/li>\n<li>D.\u00a0 Captain Matt Mayo.\u00a0 Matt Mayo received his Captain badge.<\/li>\n<li>E.\u00a0 Battalion Chief AJ Sauceda.\u00a0 Will be presented at a later date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consent Agenda:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A. Minutes of the regular district meeting on April 11, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>B. Financial Statements.<\/li>\n<li>C. Approval of Warrants.<\/li>\n<li>The Board reviewed the Minutes, Financial Statements, and Warrant List.\u00a0 Fire Chief Kelly Weddle reported that ambulance revenues are ahead of last year, and the district continues to have strong monthly collections.\u00a0 MOTION made by Edward Sauceda to approve the Consent Agenda Items A, B, and C. \u00a0SECONDED by Toni Lorona Carlson.\u00a0 MOTION PASSED (4 Ayes:\u00a0 Akes, Lorona Carlson, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Executive Session<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>None.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Business<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A.\u00a0 Review, discussion and possible action on Resolution 22-002, use of Certificate of Participation funds for PSPRS.\u00a0 Chief Weddle explained that this document was reviewed by district counsel and is needed to allow the budget capacity to accept and use the Certificate of Participation funding to pay the PSPRS liability.\u00a0 MOTION made by Toni Lorona Carlson to approve Resolution 22-002, use of Certificate of Participation funds for PSPRS.\u00a0 SECONDED by Edward Sauceda.\u00a0 MOTION PASSED (4 Ayes:\u00a0 Akes, Lorona Carlson, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).<\/li>\n<li>B.\u00a0 Review, discussion, and possible action on Resolution 22-003, Combined Resolution for the Pinal County Treasurer.\u00a0 This is the annual update for bank signers for the county accounts.\u00a0 MOTION made by Tom Cortez to approve Resolution 22-003, Combined Resolution for the Pinal County Treasurer.\u00a0 SECONDED by Edward Sauceda.\u00a0 MOTION PASSED (4 Ayes:\u00a0 Akes, Lorona Carlson, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).<\/li>\n<li>C.\u00a0 Review, discussion, and possible action on 2022-2023 fiscal budget.\u00a0 Chief Weddle presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year and the new format required by law.\u00a0 Information item only, no action taken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reports and Correspondence<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A. Division Chief Report. Division Chief Nate Bailey presented his monthly report.<\/li>\n<li>B. Fire Chief Report. Chief Weddle presented his monthly report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Future Agenda Items:\u00a0<\/strong>None.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adjournment<\/strong>.
