Toltec Road, Eloy, Arizona at 1801 hours on Monday, January 9, 2023. A quorum was confirmed with three members present: Tom Cortez, Edward Sauceda, and Belinda Akes. Board members Tom Cortez and Edward Sauceda attended remotely.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pledge of allegiance.\u00a0<\/strong>Board Chair Belinda Akes led the pledge of allegiance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Call to the Public:\u00a0<\/strong>No members of the public addressed the board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consent Agenda:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A. Minutes of the regular district meeting on December 12, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>B. Financial Statements.<\/li>\n<li>C. Approval of Warrants.<\/li>\n<li>Fire Chief Kelly Weddle noted the status of the District finances as of the half-way point of the fiscal year.\u00a0 The Board reviewed the Minutes, Financial Statements, and Warrant List.\u00a0 MOTION made by Edward Sauceda to approve the Consent Agenda Items A, B, and C. \u00a0SECONDED by Tom Cortez.\u00a0 MOTION PASSED (3 Ayes:\u00a0 Akes, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Executive Session<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>None.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Business<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A. Review, discussion and possible action on election of District Board Chairperson.\u00a0 MOTION made by Edward Sauceda to elect Belinda Akes to serve as Chairperson. SECONDED by Tom Cortez.\u00a0 MOTION PASSED (3 Ayes:\u00a0 Akes, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).<\/li>\n<li>B.\u00a0 Review, discussion and possible action on election of District Board Clerk.\u00a0 Motion made by Edward Sauceda to elect Toni Lorona Carlson to serve as Board Clerk. SECONDED by Tom Cortez.\u00a0 MOTION PASSED (3 Ayes:\u00a0 Akes, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reports and Correspondence<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A. Division Chief Report. Division Chief\u2019s monthly report was given by Chief Weddle.<\/li>\n<li>B. Fire Chief Report. Fire Chief Kelly Weddle presented his monthly report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Future Agenda Items:\u00a0<\/strong>Budget planning will be on future agendas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adjournment<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0MOTION made by Tom Cortez to adjourn.  SECONDED by Edward Sauceda.  MOTION PASSED (3 Ayes:  Akes, Sauceda, and Cortez; 0 Nays).
